We know the Racial Motifs are physical styles of crafted eso items, it affect only the appearance of your item, no stats are changed. There will be low drop rates for racial motifs, I love finding something that is rare because I spent a long time looking for them.

OK, the Daedirc motifs are pretty rare in Elder Scrolls Online and now they can only be found in Veteran Rank areas IIRC, so you won’t be able to get them until you reach those ranks and move onto the other faction zones. Never mind, even though the drop rates of daedirc motifs are very low, but you have a chance to get other motifs for your armors and weapons in the elder scrolls online. Now, deadric motifs goes for about 250K gold now and some guy sold daedric for 300K and its price is still rising, very crazy! Do the motif books work for multiple professions? If you find the Nord book, does that unlock the Nord style for Clothing, Armor, and Weapons? Yes, you can unlocks for everything you can craft. Remember your bank is account wide, so if one character gets a motif you can just put in your bank and your designated crafting character can take it out and use it.

There is a skill how you find the motifs and other materials in the game quickly if you did not know this. Make a round that takes 8-10 minutes in Daggerfall or your primary capital city where you get dumped to after Prison.

1. Bank: loot chests, desks, cupboards, bookshelves, etc.
2. Fighters Guild: loot chests, desks, cupboards, bookshelves, etc.
3. Mages Guild: loot chests, desks, cupboards, bookshelves, etc.
4. "Castle" (DC has one; maybe you have a church or something as your focal point): loot chests, desks, and bookshelves.
5. Go to the Tavern/Inn: loot chests, desks, cupboards, bookshelves, etc.
6. If you have time, and or the interest, you can make a larger circle that includes additional houses with desks, chests, cupboards, bookshelves, urns, etc.

Log off. Go to an alt. Repeat.

Note, motif farming is getting nerfed in 1.1.

One of the professional ESO player says: The patch did two things.

1. While logging out and logging back in, you can only get items from the same container maybe once or twice before it will always either be empty or lockpicks. There is an internal timer/cooldown to this but nobody knows what it is.

2. All motifs and rare recipes got their drop rates absurdly nerfed. Instead of finding 1 or 2 per hour of farming (as before), you will now be lucky if you find 1 or 2 per 15-20 hours of farming. (However, you cannot farm as you did before, you have to leave areas repeatedly now because of point #1.)
