Log off. Go to an alt. Repeat.

Note, motif farming is getting nerfed in 1.1.

One of the professional ESO player says: The patch did two things.

1. While logging out and logging back in, you can only get items from the same container maybe once or twice before it will always either be empty or lockpicks. There is an internal timer/cooldown to this but nobody knows what it is.

2. All motifs and rare recipes got their drop rates absurdly nerfed. Instead of finding 1 or 2 per hour of farming (as before), you will now be lucky if you find 1 or 2 per 15-20 hours of farming. (However, you cannot farm as you did before, you have to leave areas repeatedly now because of point #1.)

Note, using crafting station to upgrade your items, you can not make level weapons or armors up, you just can improve it to make it better but it will always still the original level, and in time even a green item of higher level will have better stats than a legendary version of the item. Best places are to do quests and to run dungeons if you are looking for green and blue items to upgrade.

OK, First go to a station in every main cities, press the E key to activate the crafting station. As attached below. You will find the 5 options in the top of the crafting station.


1. Choose the fouth option to Improvement your elder scrolls online weapons and armors.



2. Then choose your items you need to upgrade. Do not worry about the improvement materials, the crafting system will prompt what you need.

Here is my Fine quality Helmet of Salvation to upgrade the Superior quality in Clothing crafting station, you can see will cost me 1-5x Embroidery to upgrade. Each embroidery will have 23% upgrade chance, it is very important to you make sure the upgrade probability for your item, or your items will be destroyed if upgrade fails. In order to avoid this happening, please make the chance probability reached 90% + or 100% is the best.
